Dreamer's Editorial..

Moslems around the world are definitely in a festive mood now.. 'Tis the month to be holy, jolly, and good.. People who are moslems shall undergo the ritual of fasting during daylight, in which they have to also control their emotion and behaviour..

If you live in countries where Islam is an influencing accent of social construction the I'd guess you would notice that by Ramadhan, practically the whole country goes into slow mode, since people are taking things a little easier to cope with the fasting they go thru..

Anyhoo, my photography will go on even during Ramadhan, no reason not to.. To save time and bandwidth on the blog you can see my albums online in facebook, flickr, and fotografer.net

Make sure you check them out!

I hope i'll be able to write articles related to the theme of Ramadhan..

Have a festive and blessful month!

Happy reading, everyone! :)

Awesome might hidden within perplexing beauty

Unlike Agung (whose blog you can see posted on the right side of this page), i don't collect that many figurines. This is due to some reasons; i don't know why but the figurines that i crave for is always VERY VERY EXPENSIVE (simple really, maybe because they indeed are that good), second thing is unlike Agung the otaku, i dont follow that much anime/manga (just doujins ^^ kawwaaiiiiii hihihi), so my reference for characters who are good if "figurized" is not that many either..

But one day i stumbled upon this lady over here.. Now i don't know if i can spell her name correctly, but it goes something like; Ryogi Shiki Gurannodou..

I don't really believe in love at first sigh, romant
ically speaking. But i do believe in the concept when it comes to product purchasing. This figurine i fell in love with instantly. As a normal member of the male sub-race of humans, it's only natural right that even for figurines I'd go for the opposite sex characters. But this time it's not only because that she's a woman. Truth be said i haven't the slightest clue in whic
h cartoon this person is in. But what i do know is that she is a culmination of a depiction of women that i very like to idolize..
It's not that i'm being a gung-ho guy being selective of women. It's just that i can't avoid the fact that i love the illustration of Ryogi. She in that beautifully made kimono, holding a samurai, and by the looks of it she's not holding that sword just for the sake of fashion, but she actually seems good at the art of the blade hahahaha..

And no don't start assuming that i fantasize stupid things about her, however i just like it when people illustrate that wonderful combination of feminism with power. I like it when women display their strength but they do it gracefully. I'm not profiling, but i just believe that men and women both have archetypal nature they cannot avoid. Men are scruffy breadwinners, while womendo things gracefully in every step they make in every breath they take.

I come from a background that builds understanding towards women, and their status in the society. And i thinks its just cool that this illustration of a woman who is powerful, yet is able to maintain the beauty and sense of mystery upon herself.

Absolutely magnificent. For now i don't have this figure, I'd like to very much in the very near future. It's around USD 75.. So obviously for me its no small matter.. But don't worry Ryogi, someday you'll defend my room from the evil scum of the galaxy.. hahahahahaha
